About Kahan Travel

Michael J Kahan is the founder and President of Kahan Travel Group. Michael was raised in Scarsdale, New York and is a graduate of Ithaca College. He also earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1996. Prior to founding Kahan Travel Group, Michael spent 11 years as a Institutional Equities salesperson and trader, successfully developing and managing relationships with hundreds of corporate clients and colleagues throughout the financial business community. He has served as a Vice President of Equities at various Wall Street brokerage firms including Deutsche Bank, Morgan Keegan and Imperial Capital.

Michael enjoys an excellent reputation for integrity and enthusiasm, possesses a tireless work ethic, tremendous dedication to his clients, and genuine compassion for others. He is an active participant in many local and national philanthropic pursuits, including the New York City MS Society Bike Tour, The Keep Memory Alive Foundation, Student Sponsor Partners, and New York Cares.

Michael and his wife Lisa, live in Tarrytown, New York, 25 miles from Manhattan. They frequently travel the country and the world together, constantly discovering exciting new destinations. Michael’s lifelong passion for travel and hospitality and his desire to help others find wonderful and unique experiences have led him to create and launch Kahan Travel Group.
